The MR Physics research group develops and refines methods for MR imaging to explore new procedures for quantitative tissue characterization in patients. Our studies often start with a clinical question or a specific disease and lead us towards technical development for the problem at hand.
We also thoroughly describe and analyze MR signal generation in living tissue and in tissue samples. Moreover, we use simulations to investigate the influence of external changes (flux, oxygenation, diffusion, etc.) on nuclear magnetization.
The MR Physics research group further serves as a platform for cooperative projects. We develop specific MR techniques and methods for data analysis, especially in the fields of functional magnetic resonance imaging and neurological imaging, and make them available to our cooperation partners.
