Neurooncological research at the Department of Neuroradiology

The USZ is an internationally renowned Centre of Competence in Neurooncology. Accordingly, the Department of Neuroradiology focuses on neurooncological imaging with state-of-the-art technologies and methods. Our researchers collaborate closely with the clinical neurodisciplines and neurosciences at the USZ, the UZH, and ETH, as well as with other national and international cooperation partners.

In our neurooncological studies, we evaluate morphological data (mainly MRI and CT) and apply state-of-the-art methods such as diffusion, perfusion, functional imaging, quantitative semi- and fully automated analyses, and artificial intelligence (AI). We further integrate innovative software and hardware development into our research and maintain a strong focus on patient well-being.
